PARENT WORKSHOP
This is a 6 week workshop to provide families with information on speech therapy skills and the variety of techniques to help improve interactions with their child. This workshop is divided into 2 parts. The first 3 weeks will be focused on educating parents on “what is” speech and language therapy and how it can be applied to daily life. The last 3 weeks of the program will be live demonstrations of those techniques, individuals assessments, and therapy services.
WEEK 1: Intro To Speech And Language

1. Pragmatics: social skills, everyday expressions, life skills, peer to peer interactions

WEEK 4: Assessments (Therapy Development)
1. 10 minute individual assessments with parent(s) and child that will help
provide better insight into the strengths and needs of the child.

1. 10 min individual therapy sessions based on assessments
